Bang-up Game: Garcia Slams 3 Homers Tuesday, April 1st , 2025 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Hugh Buchanan Field were taking cover all day long as Marco Garcia zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Parkview High School first baseman helped the Panthers take the victory, 9-0, over the Lowndes High School Vikings. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 3 runs. Marco Garcia hit a solo-shot off Chris Skinner in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Skinner in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Javier Gonzalez in the 7th. This year, Garcia is batting .440 with 9 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
