Wild Card Clinched by Lubbock Cooper High School Sunday, May 5th , 2019 It wasn't quick or easy for the Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates, but they have clinched a berth in the postseason. While they couldn't capture the High School Baseball League University Interscholastics League crown, the club has cinched up a wild card berth late in the season. "You come close to not getting a chance in the postseason and it starts to worry you," said closer Bill Roderick. "This is a huge relief for our guys and we're going to celebrate it." The team will be looking for its 1st ABA High School championship. |
