Huntington Beach High School Oilers catcher Adrian Whalley had a magnificent game against the Spring Hill High School Panthers, rocketing three balls out of Spring Hill High School Baseball Complex to help the Oilers win, 12-6.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Whalley went 3-for-4 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Huntington Beach High School manager Nick Roach said later. "Seems like Adrian found his home run stroke today."
Adrian Whalley struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mark Galinski in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Steve Cox in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Victor Amaya in the 6th and walked in the 7th.
Whalley is currently batting .317 with 9 home runs and 22 RBIs.
