Kemps Hitless, Stopped by Eagles
Friday, May 3rd , 2019
North Hall High School left fielder Mike Kemps experienced something against the Mount Paran Christian High School Eagles he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.

The Eagles pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 26 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Trojans to a 3-0 victory at Cottrell Baseball Field.

"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 26-game hitting streak," Kemps joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."

In his stats this season, Kemps has posted a batting average of .361 with 57 hits in 158 at-bats, 5 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has also scored 22 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .392 OBP.
