Kehlenbeck Hits 3 Homers Against Sinton High School Saturday, April 8th , 2023 Whatever John Kehlenbeck ate for breakfast before his game against the Sinton High School Pirates, it gave him some impressive power. The Notre Dame High School first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Notre Dame Stadium. His home run barrage helped the Knights defeat the Pirates, 13-12. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-7, scored 3 times, drove in 4 and put on a display that history will remember. John Kehlenbeck doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Rich Rokita in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jaiden Weaver in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tomas Marquez in the 8th, flied out in the 9th and flied out in the 11th. A look at his season totals shows Kehlenbeck with 9 home runs, .295 BA, .360 OBP, 22 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
