Corey Johnson Lost for Season Saturday, April 8th , 2023 When Houston County High School reliever Corey Johnson was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Bears-Eagles game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Johnson had sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for about 8-9 months. To this point in the season, Johnson has put up these figures: 0-2 record, 7 relief appearances with 6.1 innings, no saves, 5 strikeouts, 7 walks and a 4.26 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .250 batting average. |
