Thrice Is Nice: O'Brien Unloads 3 Homers Sunday, March 30th , 2025 Casey O'Brien brutalized the Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 17-4 Villa Park High School victory at Berkeley Baseball Complex. The Villa Park High School Spartans first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Casey O'Brien today," Buccaneers manager Travis Hamilton said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Casey O'Brien flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tyler Robbers in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. O'Brien is batting at a .404 pace this season, picking up 19 hits in 47 at-bats with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
