Conquerors Kyle Ellingson Down and Out for Year Friday, April 7th , 2023 The doctors have spoken and Kyle Ellingson of the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ellingson sustained his season-ending injury during the Allatoona High School Buccaneers game yesterday at Stampede Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Trinity Christian Academy medical staff reported Ellingson had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. Ellingson has earned 1 save and a 0-0 mark this season with a 3.86 earned run average in 8 relief appearances. He has worked 7 innings, yielded 6 hits, struck out 7 batters and walked 4. |
