Hurst Raps 3 HR Against Vikings Tuesday, April 4th , 2023 It was a good day for the Etowah High School Eagles and an exceptional one for Jeremy Hurst. The 16-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Eagles beat the Lowndes High School Vikings, 11-0, at Etowah Baseball Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Hurst said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Jeremy Hurst hit a solo-shot off Carlos Abreu in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Abreu in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jose Rodriguez in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. In this current campaign Hurst is hitting at a .304 clip with 11 home runs and 28 RBIs. |
