Rau Bangs 3 HR Against Palo Alto High School

It was a terrific day for J.J. Rau, who ripped three home runs at Palo Alto High School Stadium, and a disappointing one for the North Oconee High School Titans who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 7-4, to the Palo Alto High School Vikings.
"He was instant offense," North Oconee High School skipper Ben McGuire said. "J.J. really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game."
For the day, Rau collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs.
In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Palo Alto High School Stadium.
"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said.
J.J. Rau hit a two-run home run off Jim Dell in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Dell in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ryan Margolis in the 7th.
This season, Rau is swinging the bat at a .464 pace. He has hit 8 home runs and scored 13 times, while driving in 17. His on-base percentage is .531 and he has played in 7 games.
