Hits Blitz for Eagles Pechota Wednesday, March 26th , 2025 Some days everything just falls in place. It all came together for Andy Pechota and the Etiwanda High School Eagles at Villa Park High School Field. The Eagles went home winners and the third baseman had a 5-for-6 day that included the cycle, a baseball rarity. "He sure was a wrecking ball today," said Etiwanda High School manager Eric Kaplan following his club's 20-3 taming of the Villa Park High School Spartans. Andy Pechota doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Roger Mims in the 8th and tripled in the 9th. On the year, Pechota is hitting .458 with 11 hits, 3 home runs, 4 RBIs, .500 OBP and has scored 10 runs. |
