Hits Galore: Caudill Drills 5 Hits Monday, March 24th , 2025 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Mike Caudill is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Allatoona High School Buccaneers at Gerald McQuiag Field. The monster effort from the 17-year-old catcher helped the Buford High School Wolves get the win, 12-8. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Buccaneers manager Manny Ortega. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Mike Caudill hit a solo-shot off Dave Aguirre in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dave Aguirre in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
