Injury Sidelines Jared Perrin For Year
Thursday, April 22nd , 2021
The doctors have spoken and Jared Perrin of the Pace High School Patriots didn't like what he heard. The 17-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Perrin sustained his season-ending injury during the Sinton High School Pirates game yesterday at Sinton Pirates Baseball Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Pace High School medical staff reported Perrin had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
This season, Perrin has worked 17.2 innings in 13 relief appearances and picked up 6 saves. He has dished out 20 strikeouts and walked 6 with a 1-0 mark and a 0.51 ERA.
