Wetmore Rockets 3 HR Against Calvary Christian High School Saturday, April 1st , 2023 Tim Wetmore went on an explosive hitting spree against the Calvary Christian High School Warriors at Night Hawks Grounds, launching a trio of blasts to help the Liberty High School Patriots win, 16-4. The first baseman finished 4-for-6 with 3 runs scored and 6 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Wetmore said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Calvary Christian High School skipper C.J. Sidney said Wetmore was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Tim Wetmore grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Adam McCarthy in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Edwin Quintana in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ralph Pinera in the 8th. To date this season, Wetmore is hitting .255 with 4 home runs. |
