3 Roundtrippers for Perez Wednesday, April 21st , 2021 Fans are still buzzing after Buchanan High School whipped the Rockwall-Heath High School Hawks by the score of 14-8 at Rockwall-Heath High School Baseball Field. Justin Perez smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the third baseman bashed out 4 hits in 6 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, Perez said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Perez said. "Three is just... wow." Justin Perez hit a solo-shot off Manny Nino in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Manny Nino in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Eric Rieger in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Perez with 6 home runs, .286 BA, .412 OBP, 11 RBIs and 20 runs scored. |
