Schoer Slams 5 Hits for JSerra Catholic High School Saturday, March 22nd , 2025 The North Cobb Christian High School Eagles downed the JSerra Catholic High School Lions, 11-10, at JSerra High School Stadium, in spite of the best efforts of JSerra Catholic High School center fielder Mike Schoer. Schoer lashed the ball all over the park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with a 5-for-8 line -- and a loss. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," he said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he would adjust his strategy next time the Eagles face Schoer, North Cobb Christian High School manager Franklin Villalobos said "absolutely not." "Our strategy was to not give him good pitches to hit," he said. "We didn't do that, and he worked us over. Thankfully, we won anyway, and next time we'll pitch to him better." Mike Schoer singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Trede in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Matt Opal in the 7th, flied out in the 8th, doubled in the 11th, struck out in the 13th and flied out in the 14th. |
