5-Hit Blitz by Cypress High School's Wahlert Sunday, April 18th , 2021 It was a good day for the Centurions at Cypress Athletic Facilities as they clipped the Tomball High School Cougars, 7-6. It was tremendous day for Jarrod Wahlert, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the Cypress High School first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Jarrod Wahlert hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 10th and flied out in the 12th. Hitting .442 to date, Wahlert has 7 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 24 games. |
