Red-Hot Bat: Schoer Collects Cycle Wednesday, March 29th , 2023 The Harlem High School Bulldogs were too much for the JSerra Catholic High School Lions, winning, 6-5, despite the batting heroics of JSerra Catholic High School left fielder Mike Schoer. In a losing effort, Schoer had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 RBI. After the game, Schoer said he was "unfazed" by the outcome. "Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you." Mike Schoer doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off David Cooper in the 9th. This season, Schoer is batting .429 with 5 home runs. He has scored 8 runs and driven in 13. |
