Jarrod Wahlert discovered that today at Cypress Athletic Facilities, as he smashed three home runs during the 10-6 Cypress High School Centurions win over the Lowndes High School Vikings. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Cypress High School first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Wahlert finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Jarrod Wahlert hit a two-run home run off Carlos Abreu in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Abreu in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Rodriguez in the 7th. This season, Wahlert is hitting at a .552 pace with 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and has scored 8 times. |
