Miesch Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, March 28th , 2024 Matt Miesch was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Buccaneer Baseball Field, the Franklin High School third baseman blistered the Allatoona High School Buccaneers for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a good 20-5 victory. "Miesch was too tough to get out," Buccaneers skipper Manny Ortega said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Matt Miesch singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jonathan Avila in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Miesch has hit .280 with 1 home run and 6 RBIs. |
