Howard Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, May 5th , 2020 At Dreamfield today, Andre Howard hit homer after homer after homer. But they didn't add up to enough to beat the Huntington Beach High School Oilers as the Rockwall-Heath High School Hawks went down to defeat, 14-6. "It was a good game for me, not so good for our team," the Rockwall-Heath High School center fielder said. "I got lucky. I made some good swings on some pitches. We just didn't put up one in the win column." On his monumental day, he had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 runs, and scored 3 times. "The third one was totally unexpected," Howard told reporters after his extraordinary game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get another home run and bang, I got number three." Andre Howard hit a solo-shot off Bill Taylor in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bill Taylor in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Cody Ahern in the 8th. This year Howard is hitting .275 with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .351 clip and scored 15 runs. |
