O'Brien Bashes 3 HR for Villa Park High School Wednesday, March 27th , 2024 Fans are still buzzing after Villa Park High School whipped the Tompkins High School Falcons by the score of 15-0 at Villa Park High School Field. Casey O'Brien smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 3 RBIs and scored 4 times. At the postgame press conference, O'Brien said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," O'Brien said. "Three is just... wow." Casey O'Brien struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Byron Bruce in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Kenyon in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Adams in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. For the season, O'Brien is hitting at a .310 clip with 7 home runs, 10 RBIs and has scored 10 runs. He has 9 hits, 4 walks and a .394 on-base percentage. |
