Hitting Streak Still Alive for Torres Monday, May 4th , 2020 David Torres extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Villa Park High School 8-7 triumph over the Spring Hill High School Panthers. The 16-year-old Spartans first baseman collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats. "Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." David Torres singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd and hit an RBI single in the 5th. So far this season Torres is batting .433 with 12 home runs. |
