Willis Rockets 3 HR Against North Oconee High School Thursday, May 5th , 2022 Rusty Willis was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 9-8 Loganville High School Red Devils triumph at Loganville High School Baseball Complex. The 18-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Red Devils past the North Oconee High School Titans. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Willis told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The catcher went 3-for-4, rung up 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Rusty Willis hit a solo-shot off Justin Heinold in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Justin Heinold in the 4th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Elliott Hunt in the 10th. Batting .267 to date, Willis has 3 home runs and 3 RBIs. |
