Schultz Crushes 3 HR Against Harlem High School Monday, March 25th , 2024 Lake Brantley High School Patriots first baseman Brian Schultz sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Harlem High School Bulldogs, Schultz told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Schultz pushed the Patriots past the Bulldogs, 16-14. To go along with the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Schultz told reporters after the game. Brian Schultz hit a solo-shot off Craig Hoult in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jake Worm in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off David Cooper in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This season, Schultz is batting .389 with 5 home runs. He has scored 6 runs and driven in 11. |
