Evans Torches Firebirds for 5 Hits Sunday, March 24th , 2024 John Evans did a number on the Firebirds in the 8-6 Boerne High School victory -- and the number was 5. The Greyhounds right fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Doral Academy Baseball Complex to lead his club past the Doral Academy Firebirds. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." John Evans hit a solo-shot off Jesse Moore in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Powell in the 11th. |
