McCain Batters Houston County High School Big Time Friday, April 10th , 2026 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Villa Park High School's Nick McCain made it happen against the Bears. Everything came together at the plate for the 17-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Spartans triumph, 12-5, at Houston County High School Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," McCain said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Nick McCain struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Dan DeHate in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Daniel Lopez in the 9th. McCain is currently hitting at a .333 pace with 10 home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 21 times. |
