Blast Off! 3 HR for Garcia Friday, March 22nd , 2024 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Reagan High School Rattlers. Harlem High School first baseman Miguel Garcia tripled up on the home runs to propel the Bulldogs to a win, 9-4, at Reagan High School Stadium. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Reagan High School manager Andy Gutierrez said. "Garcia hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Garcia collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Miguel Garcia hit a solo-shot off Matt McCarty in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Matt McCarty in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Daniel O'Keefe in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. |
