Adrian Myers adds velocity after exceptional work at the development complex Thursday, March 21st , 2024 This offseason, Adrian Myers took his game to another level by achieving a significant increase in his pitching velocity. After spending months fine-tuning his mechanics and focusing on explosive strength, Myers has emerged with a noticeable bump in speed, positioning him for a strong year with the IMG Academy Ascenders organization. Working closely with the team's performance staff, Adrian Myers revamped his training regimen, focusing on building power from the ground up. Through targeted strength training, mobility work, and explosive movement drills, he was able to speed up his delivery and add torque. The results? A primary pitch that now regularly hits new highs, with his secondary pitches gaining more life and movement as well. “I’ve put in a lot of work this offseason to push my velocity higher, and it’s been amazing to see that pay off,” Adrian Myers said. “I feel stronger, and my stuff has more bite. I’m excited to see how this translates to games.” With his velocity jump, Adrian Myers may now be poised to take on a larger role on the team, and certainly gives the IMG Academy Ascenders something to think about.
