Etowah High School Stops Matison Hit Streak Tuesday, April 7th , 2026 Lady Luck was not on the side of Randy Matison or his teammates at Etowah Baseball Field. Everything went the way of the Etowah High School Eagles, who not only came away with the 5-3 victory over Berkeley Prep High School, but also held Matison hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 22-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Matison said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." For the year, Matison has hit at a .419 clip with 34 RBIs, 15 home runs and 26 runs scored. |
