O'Brien Crashes 3 HR Against Taravella High School Saturday, April 30th , 2022 Casey O'Brien added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Taravella High School Trojans. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Villa Park High School Spartans fell to the Trojans, 15-13. In his big day at Taravella High School Baseball Stadium, the Villa Park High School first baseman went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and scored 4 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Casey O'Brien flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Zachery Shaw in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jay Lee in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Marvin Henderson in the 9th. So far this year, O'Brien has hit .380 with 16 home runs, 39 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
