Corcoran Tags 3 HR Against Greyhounds Thursday, April 28th , 2022 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Boerne ISD Sports Complex were taking cover all day long as Joe Corcoran zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Windermere High School second baseman helped the Wolverines take the victory, 9-6, over the Boerne High School Greyhounds. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 4 runs. Joe Corcoran hit a solo-shot off Zach Heller in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Francisco Diaz in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Aidan Bogan in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. For the season, Corcoran is hitting .260, batted in 25 runs with 7 home runs and 25 runs scored. |
