Austin Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, April 27th , 2022 John Austin went 2-for-4 in the 6-0 Pope High School Greyhounds victory over the Mount Paran Christian High School Eagles at Jeff Rowland Baseball Complex. Austin declined to speak to reporters following the game. He extended his hitting streak to 20 games. John Austin doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Larry Mason in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Austin is batting .290 this year with 10 home runs, 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 131 at-bats. |
