Wolf Smashes 3 Homers for Doral Academy Monday, April 27th , 2020 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the American Heritage High School Patriots today. Doral Academy third baseman Dean Wolf tripled up on the home runs to propel the Firebirds to the 5-1 win at Doral Academy Baseball Complex. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," American Heritage High School manager Casey Lounsbury said. "Wolf hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Wolf collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Dean Wolf hit a solo-shot off Phil Simmerman in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brian Flickinger in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jeff Keith in the 8th. So far this season Wolf has hit .266 with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 15 times. |
