Season-Ending Injury for Josh Patterson
Tuesday, April 26th , 2022
When Josh Patterson was hurt against the Ray High School Texans, the Lowndes High School Vikings were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 18-year-old reliever suffered bone chips in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Patterson would miss 6 months of the season.
This year, Patterson has 12 relief appearances with no saves, 2-0 season record and a 5.51 ERA. He has hurled 16.1 innings, given up 21 hits, struck out 17 and walked 6. Opposing clubs have batted .313 against the Lowndes High School reliever.
