Hyman Booms 4 HR Against Woodstock High School
Wednesday, April 1st , 2026
Nothing could stop Ryan Hyman -- certainly not the Woodstock High School Wolverines pitching staff.
The 18-year-old first baseman for the Ray High School Texans sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Ray High School Stadium and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the Texans earned a win, 8-5, over the Wolverines.
"In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Wolverines manager Jesse Stevenson said later. "He clobbered us."
Hyman's dream game included 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 homers, 8 runs driven in and 4 runs scored.
"I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," Hyman told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys."
Ryan Hyman hit a solo-shot off Beau Moiles in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Beau Moiles in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Beau Moiles in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Sean Walker in the 9th.
This year, Hyman is batting .419 with 18 hits, 13 home runs, 24 RBIs, 7 walks, .510 OBP and has scored 13 runs.
