Friday, March 27th , 2026
Coppell High School Cowboys catcher Hector Estevez put on a dazzling display of power at Coppell ISD Baseball Complex against the Keller High School Indians. In the 5-4 Cowboys victory, Estevez penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Keller High School manager Pablo Ramos said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."
Along with his three home runs, the 18-year-old had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Estevez said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
Hector Estevez hit a solo-shot off Gray Price in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Gray Price in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ian Inman in the 8th.
So far this season, Estevez is hitting .409 with 6 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 9 hits in 22 at-bats and a .500 OBP.
