3-Homer Hat Trick for Roberts Saturday, April 7th , 2018 Kyle Roberts added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Mount Paran Christian High School Eagles. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Woodstock High School Wolverines fell to the Eagles, 13-12. In his big day at Mount Paran Christian High School Stadium, the Woodstock High School third baseman went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and scored 3 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Kyle Roberts grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mike Bruce in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Josh Lofland in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Kent in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Roberts has collected 15 hits for the Wolverines this year, 7 of them home runs. He has also netted 11 RBIs and scored 13 runs while batting .300. |
