Williams Launches 3 HR for Panthers
Wednesday, March 25th , 2026
Spring Hill High School Panthers catcher Tyler Williams slugged three home runs against the Grapevine High School Mustangs at Valiants Field, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The Mustangs spoiled his day by defeating the Panthers, 12-11.
"The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game Tyler had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Spring Hill High School manager Dave Booth. "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing Tyler, he would have preferred a win."
For the game, Williams was 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Williams said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too."
Tyler Williams hit a solo-shot off Matthew Dillon in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Guzman in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Thus far in 2026, Williams is hitting .286 with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs, 7 runs scored and has compiled a .400 OBP.
