Hornsby Blasts 3 out of the Park Tuesday, March 24th , 2026 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Spartans-Firebirds game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Villa Park High School catcher Josh Hornsby thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Villa Park High School to a win, 12-4, over Doral Academy. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Hornsby said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Hornsby was 3-for-4 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Josh Hornsby struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off James Palmer in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Dallas Mullins in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Hernandez in the 8th. |
