Super Swinger -- Valenta Slams 5 Hits Sunday, April 17th , 2022 De La Salle High School defeated Cartersville High School at River Cats Grounds. The star of the game for the Spartans was first baseman Bryan Valenta. His hitting heroics included a 5-for-7 day, paving the way for De La Salle High School's 6-3 triumph over the Hurricanes. Bryan Valenta struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit a three-run home run off Chris Bartel in the 15th. This year, Valenta is hitting .368 with 10 home runs. |
