Hit Streak for Jackson Reaches 25 Monday, March 27th , 2023 With 1 hit at Notre Dame Stadium, Mike Jackson added another game to his hitting streak -- the Notre Dame High School right fielder has now hit safely for 25 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Knights, as they fell, 6-5, to the Stockdale High School Mustangs. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Stockdale High School manager Steve Clements said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Mike Jackson singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and walked in the 7th. This season, Jackson has hit 2 home runs and posted a .500 batting average. |
