But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates fell to the Eagles, 13-11. In his big day at Lubbock Cooper High School Stadium, the Lubbock Cooper High School shortstop went 4-for-6 with 7 RBIs and scored 3 times. "It was just one of those days," he told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball. "You would think three homers would win most games. It was good to hit 'em, but a win would have really made my day." Jason Sylvester hit a two-run home run off Josh Hart in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Josh Hart in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Sheldon Cahill in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year, Sylvester is batting .368 with 3 home runs. |
