Clarke Smashes 3 Homers for Lowndes High School Saturday, March 25th , 2023 Lowndes High School shortstop Nick Clarke led the Vikings to a triumph, 15-13, over the North Oconee High School Titans, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Lowndes High School skipper Sean Avery. Indeed, Clarke put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 3 runs and 6 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Clarke said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Nick Clarke hit a two-run home run off Jared Creaney in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off William Crowder in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Nolan Cardinal in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In the current season, Clarke has put up a .333 batting average with 8 hits, 4 home runs, 10 RBI and scored 7 runs. |
