Banger Connects for 3 Homers for Texans Saturday, March 25th , 2023 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Texans-Rattlers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Ray High School second baseman Vince Banger thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Ray High School to a win, 6-3, over Reagan High School. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Banger said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Banger was 4-for-4 on the day with 6 RBI. Vince Banger hit a solo-shot off Frank Rosalez in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Josh Lint in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Jeff Kelley in the 8th. This season, Banger has delivered 9 hits in 19 at-bats for a .474 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .545 clip and his totals also include 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
