Merriman Goes Deep 3 Times Friday, March 24th , 2023 It was a good day for the Reagan High School Rattlers and an exceptional one for Jason Merriman. The 15-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Rattlers beat the Ray High School Texans, 13-5, at Reagan High School Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Merriman said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 5 at-bats. Jason Merriman flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bob DesJardins in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Xavier Sims in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Alex Holle in the 8th. |
