Johnson Jacks 3 into the Stands Thursday, March 23rd , 2023 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Doral Academy Baseball Complex buzzing, Cypress High School Centurions third baseman Jimmy Johnson blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 22-3, over the Doral Academy Firebirds. "Everything was clicking," Johnson told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Johnson shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Centurions manager Jason Trahan said. "Jimmy played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Jimmy Johnson flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off James Palmer in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Moore in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Steve Gallagher in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. |
