Matt Gardner Sidelined for Season Sunday, April 10th , 2022 The season is finished for Matt Gardner of the Wesleyan High School Wolves. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Wolves reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Reagan High School Rattlers. Team doctors said it would take at least 12 months to heal. Gardner has taken the mound for 9 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-2 record with a 8.00 ERA. The Wesleyan High School reliever has limited opposing batters to a .333 batting average. |
