Wolverines Falcones Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 5th , 2022 Sergio Falcones was at the head of a Windermere High School hit parade at Windermere Baseball Complex. The left fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Wolverines to a nice 17-5 victory over the Cartersville High School Hurricanes. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Falcones told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Hurricanes skipper Bobby Mitchell said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Sergio Falcones hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season in 6 games, Falcones is batting .444 with no home runs, 3 RBIs and has scored 4 times. |
