3 Bombs for Patrick Burt Saturday, April 4th , 2020 Fans are still buzzing after Tompkins High School whipped the Mount Paran Christian High School Eagles by the score of 5-2 today at Mount Paran Christian High School Stadium. Patrick Burt smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Burt said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Burt said. "Three is just... wow." Patrick Burt hit a solo-shot off Mike Reich in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Reich in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Chris Elder in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This season Burt is batting .381 with 16 hits, 5 home runs, 10 RBIs, .435 OBP and has scored 7 runs. |
